Pets on the Isle of Wight really do like to worry their owners.

MaureenVB reader Emma got in touch to let us know that she’s had to take in a small grey cat who appeared to be lost and very distressed.

Emma says the very sweet-natured cat was found towards the back of Shanklin library.

She has contacted both the RSPCA and Cats Protection, but neither have had anyone seeking a cat of her description.

If this is your cat or you know who has lost it please get in touch with Emma asap (on 719495) as her own cat is getting a bit grumpy about the new lodger.

Hope her owner is soon found. RSPCa and Cats Protection are inundated with animals. We have adopted a number of cats from both over the last 40 years and I can only say how glad I am that we did. Our current moggie has been with us just over 3 years, he is believed to be 10. Since my wife became terminally ill he has given her a great deal of comfort. Rescued cats always return kindness with love and companionship. Please, if you really want a cat- don’t hesitate, there are lots waiting for a good home!
