If you’re into gaming, specifically Call of Duty, this event being organised for the end of March / beginning of April should get your BFG primed.

Call of Duty imageGames enthusiast Dan Gaches has organised an XBOX championship, with cash prizes for the winners.

He says, “For the past few years, many of us have been addicted to the ‘Call of Duty’ games. Players pride themselves on ‘Rank’, ‘Call sign’, ‘Achievement’s Unlocked’ etc., but does it really tell who is the better player?

“This competition is designed for everyone to have a bit of fun, but also to allow ‘Isle of Wight’ gamers to compete ‘Head to Head’ for an amazing cash prize!”

Who can enter?
The competition is open to Isle of Wight residents only and even though this is an 18+ aged game, the ‘Graphic Content’ will be turned off to allow younger age groups to enter (minimum age 13).

How to Enter?
Entry is free and opens from 1st March, but you’ll need to be quick as there are limited number of places.

Simply download the ‘Entry Form’ (from 1st March) print it out and return it to Puckpool Tea Gardens.

What do I need to bring?
All you need to bring is yourself. All consoles will be provided, no need to bring anything.

Prizes?
Yes indeed! First place has a cash prize of £200 cash, second place £50 and other prizes available to runners-up.

Where will it take place?
All games will take place at Puckpool Tea Gardens.

The first and second rounds will be held on Saturday 31st March, Sunday 1st April and Saturday 7th April between 5pm – 9pm.

Finals will all be held on Sunday 8th April (Easter Sunday) from 6pm – 10pm.
