Isle Of Wight Radio: Latest Listener Figures Out - 2011 Q1Their latest numbers, covering the first quarter of 2011, came out this week including Isle of Wight Radio’s figures.

They’re reporting that over the whole of the UK, an amazing 91.6% of UK population tune in to radio every week – a new record since they started reporting it in 1992.

IW Radio’s numbers
The RAJAR report that the IW Radio got 37,000 listeners a week during the first quarter (Q1) of 2011, a slight reduction on previous quarter’s figures.

Until now, the total number of hours that the station had been listened to in a quarter has been steadily increasing since it was taken over in August 2009. This quarter is the first to see a dip, to 546k from 593k in Q4 2010.

Average hours listened per listener is reported as 14.6, from 15.4 the previous quarter.
