Fishbourne Incident Leads To Arrest Of Two On Drugs Allegation

Thanks to VB reader, Chris Sanders, getting on touch to let us know about an incident involving the police near Fishbourne Lane last night. Also thanks to Kelvin Currie to told us, “Police attended and restrained him & woman passenger after ‘removing’ him from car. Nobody hurt fortunately.”

Fishbourne Incident Leads To Arrest Of Two On Drug AllegationPolice can confirm they were called to a report of a road traffic collision on Kite Hill, Wootton Bridge near Ryde on the Isle of Wight at 6.46pm on Monday, 13 September, 2010.

It’s alleged a Range Rover made contact with a wall before coming to a stop and blocking part of the road.

A 38-year-old man and a 30-year-old woman from the Sussex area were arrested on suspicion of being unfit to drive through drink or drugs, and possession with intent to supply a class A drug.

Isle of Wight Targeted Patrol Team (TPT) officers took the suspects into custody where they remain today (Tuesday, September 14) for questioning.

An investigation by detectives from the Isle of Wight Priority Crime Unit (PCU) is continuing.
