Seeing •Bruce’s photo of a Spring wood in the VB Flickr Group Pool brought to mind something we’ve been thinking about for a little while – where are the best sites for Bluebells and other spring flowers on the Isle of Wight?

Know Where The Best Bluebell Sites On The Island Are?We were up on the Ventnor Downs this morning and saw the beginning of what is going to be an amazing carpet of purple / bluebells.

Please let us know
Where have you seen some? Do you have photos? Can you pin-point them on a map?

If so, do get in touch. We’ll see if we can gather them all together into one place, so others can share in this beauty.

The walk up to Mottistone Long Stone is always wonderful this time of year when the bluebells are out.

Robin Hill is great, also good at America Wood nr Apse Heath. Please remember illegal to dig up native wild bluebells.
