Official Decision on Island Parking Permits Released

The delegated decision on the rise of various Isle of Wight council permits has now been made.

Replacement bus passes will go up from £5 to £10.

The change of the previous business parking permit to a long-stay permit, now costing £500, has been formalised.

Scaffold licence application fee to rise from £23 per week to £30 for scaffolds erected on the highway.

A proposed increase in the Wightbus hire charges have been deferred.

The published reason for the decisions are, “To realise a net increase in income in the order of £2,000 and to align with the Council’s Value for Money strategy and contribute to the Corporate Theme of Delivering Better Services.”
