Banana Gun Flash Mob Planned For Weekend

Thursday, 4th February, 2010 at 5:20 pm, Isle of Wight

Comedy, Newport, News

If you’ve ever been involved in a Flash Mob event, then you’ll know how exciting it can be.

Banana Flash Mob Planned For WeekendFor those who have never heard of Flash Mobs, it’s not a group of blinged up people rampaging through a town, but an event where a large number of people gather together at a specific time and carry out fairly innocent pre-determined tasks, such turning up for a pillow fight in the middle of a busy shopping centre.

We discovered today that a fun loving chap from Cowes is trying to gather support for a ‘banana gun fight flash mob’ this weekend in Newport.

He’s calling for fruity gun slingers to gather in St James’ Square at 1.30pm on Saturday, with banana in hand to take part.

Should be quite a laugh to take part in, or watch. Just hope they don’t get mixed up with the ‘banana mobile phone flash mob’.

Aw, don’t be a stick in the mud Seb – perhaps they are kids who are organising it?
