Island Unemployment Up 154 In December

The number of unemployed claimants on the Isle of Wight went up 154 in December 2009. That’s 6.1% of what’s officially called “the economically active population,” bringing it in as the 234th highest of the UK’s 646 constituencies.
Measuring year on year, there are 1,023 more than in December 2008.
