Getting VentnorBlog On Your Mobile Phone

Wednesday, 6th January, 2010 at 4:51 pm, Isle of Wight

Island-wide, News, Online

Errr … had you noticed that it’s been snowing?

Getting VentnorBlog On Your Mobile PhoneOne thing you’ll find when you’re walking through the snow is that accessing the Internet via your PC isn’t that easy – the power lead is never long enough is it?

As you funksters will know, these days many mobile phones have Web browsers built into them, so to find out the latest news about the snow, travel, or anything else that’s happening on the Island, just enter http://VentnorBlog.com into your mobile and you’ll get a special, mobile-friendly version of the VentnorBlog that’s designed for smaller screen.

You don’t have to do anything special, like remember a different Web address when you’re on your mobile, or even stick your finger in your ear while you’re doing it. Just go to http://VentnorBlog.com and it will sort it all out for you.

We’ve been offering the mobile-friendly version of VB since 2007 – it’s just that we haven’t really shouted about it, believing that you’d all eventually found about it through your own experimentation. Given how many more people have Browser-friendly phones, perhaps we should draw more attention to it?
