Delays To Refuse Collection Today
Wednesday, 23rd December, 2009 at 10:26 am, Isle of Wight
Island-wide, Isle of Wight Council, News
Those super heros of the Island, the refuse collection men, are fighting against the terrible weather conditions today and have understandably been hit by delays.
We’re told that some collections could be made up to six hours later than usual, so if your rubbish hasn’t been collected yet, don’t worry, it will be.
However, if a collection was due yesterday or it is not picked up at all today, then residents should contact the council on 821000.

Please could you post the dates when you expect to be able to collect rubbish from various areas. We put ours out last Thursday (holiday timetable) then yesterday (normal collection day) but the roads were too bad for the truck to arrive. I’m worried that they may come on a day I’m not expecting.
