But when will it end. I like the idea that we can all protest. But when it seems to turn into a sort of bully/harrasment tactic where you stall for time and play the "we have rights" card all the time, people get a bit sick and bored. In the end you have achieved nothing you never will and you have cost us, that actualy live on the Island money, when we have to foot the huge Police bill on our council tax. As i said previously i agree with protesting etc. But how far will you go. Will someone get hurt. Will you continue to cost companies money for the inconvenience you cause daily. I stood out there with you in the early days but lost interest when it seened to turn desperate. Keep the fight going but not in this way. It is an eye-sore and you should be encouraging the ex-employees to move on with their lives - it is in their best interests to make a new start and put Vestas behind them. Any claim they want to make against Vestas is a matter for the courts and will be decided through the courts. The campaign for Green jobs can go on, but not on this roundabout. There is a lot of sympathy for the sacked guys, but they need support to move on, they don't need to be sitting on a roundabout outside Gurit over the winter. Nobody needs that! And furthermore, alot of the Socialist and other left wing political groups involved are edging into the climate change debate down here, and while we need every bit of support we can get for the Cheverton wind turbines, people do shy away from Socialist groups. These political groups have their place, but I don't think it's at the forefront of a pro wind turbine movement on the Isle of Wight. At this late stage, the last thing we want is to crack out the SWP banners at the planning meeting. Banners about eco-island, turbines and being green though, the more the merrier! As I often say, we should not just do the things that society expects, but to also take the right actions for the sake of society. I've never seen any flags with red fists on, plenty of flags representing the various Unions but no red fists... It's not just the Tories, all the parties need convincing of the urgency.
