Adjudication Panel Finds Against Cllr Churchman

We’ve heard from the Adjudication Panel for England that they have found that Cllr Vanessa Churchman – Isle of Wight councillor for Havenstreet, Ashey and Haylands – has brought the authority into disrepute and breached parts of the members’ Code of Conduct.
We should be in receipt of the full details shortly.
Hearings for three more councillors, Bishop; Joyce and Sutton, are still being heard on the Island and are expected to be concluded by the end of the week.
These findings are as a result of the action taken two years ago, back in November 2007, when five councillors were reported to the Standards Board.
