Thursday, 12th November, 2009 at 9:45 am, Isle of Wight
Two people have been charged in connection with the recent double break-ins at the ‘Beach Hut Diner’ and ‘Ventnor Bay Café’ on the Esplanade, Ventnor, where charity money was stolen during the break-in.
Paul Philip Carter, aged 27, of Pound Lane, Ventnor, Isle of Wight, and Robert John Scott, aged 36, of West Street, Wroxall, Isle of Wight were both charged with two counts of burglary.
Both men were bailed by the police to appear before the Isle of Wight Magistrates Court tomorrow, Friday, 13th November, 2009.
We spoke to Michael Spink of the Ventnor Bay Cafe at the time.
We also recorded one with Carole Parks of the Beach Hut Diner, but just haven’t had the time to get it out. Will try to do it as soon as possible.

I can not believe that the people who did this are local

This is shocking that it has happened, but more so to hear that local people have done the horrible deed against their fellow citizens.

If they are found guilty, perhaps you could find photos to publish so that we will all know who the parasitic w*****s are in our midst.

Let’s hope that justice is served at court and that they don’t just get the proverbial smack on the wrists and told not to be naughty boys!

If guilty, can I suggest a community service order that they collect 60lbs of dog shit from the Ventnor area, each ?

Local or out of town , its still a crime ,
Steephill Jack its a great idea , put something back when you take something out ,
Stealing comes from all walks of life from the country manor house to the bedsit , no doubt the theives will have a story to tell of theire own .
But the idea of the dog cleaning is really good might you put this to the court Jack?

Nice idea Lin but I’m sure there would be Health and Safety issues that would prevent this kind of punishment: they might get sick, poor things.
