10% Discount on Boating Holidays For VB Readers

Regular readers might remember an article we put out a couple of weeks ago about the Isle of Wight mysteriously disappearing off a map of the UK (Where’s The Isle of Wight Gone?).
It was discovered by VB reader, Wayne Spurge, after he got back from a canal boating holiday with the ABC Leisure Group.
Wayne and his family had a great time away on the canal boat, but noticed the Isle of Wight was missing on one of their feedback forms.
VB got in touch with ABC Leisure to let them know about the slip and as way of an apology, they’ve very generously offered a 10% discount* to any VB readers who book a holiday with them.
The group offer a number of different types of boating holidays. Check out their Web site to see what’s on offer and quote VentnorBlog when booking for your 10% discount*.
Well done to Wayne for letting us know about the omission, his eagle eyes have earned any VB readers who fancy following in his footsteps a great discount.

I would just like to say that although they missed the Isle of Wight off of their map, nothing else was missing from our holiday – the boat was extremely well equipped, the staff could not be more helpful or efficient, the lock-keepers en-route were cheerful and full of advice (when they must clearly be fed up with amateurs bashing around and not having a clue what they are doing!) and we met some lovely people, both on the canals and rivers and in the places that we stopped at. People in the hostelry’s we visited could not have been more accomodating, going to great lengths to ensure we enjoyed our fare and that our small hairy companion (that being the dog, not my wife) was well catered for and welcomed. Well done ABC Leisure Group! ……maybe they could give some of the establishments on the IOW some advice!!
