Wightlink 21:05 & 21:50 Yarmouth / Lymington Cancelled
Sunday, 11th October, 2009 at 6:22 pm, Isle of Wight
We’re finding it hard to keep up with all these changes on the Wightlink ferries this weekend.
Wightlink now tell us that “due to operational reasons” the 21:05 (9:05pm) from Lymington and the 21:50 (9:50 pm) from Yarmouth today (Sunday 11 October) will be cancelled.

I can’t stand “operational reasons” as an excuse. It really means “because you have probably already booked with us, we cant be arsed to give you any details.
It would sound so much better if they said “the Captain’s wife has run off and left him with the kids”, or “the port side reverse thruster grunge plate has snapped” or…. whatever

The engine’s got a problem. Operation reasons.
Doesn’t make much difference. Both bad but probably can’t be avoided.
