Bestival 09: Island Day Lineup

Wednesday, 9th September, 2009 at 11:41 am, Isle of Wight

Bestival, Central Wight, Music

Bestival 09: Island Day LineupEvery year at Bestival Rob da Bank makes sure that he exposes plenty of Island bands to music fans from the mainland.

This year is no exception and he goes one step further by making the bandstand an ‘Island bands only’ zone with the new Island Day on Saturday.

When we spoke to Robby back in May he told VB that he thought the music being created on the Island was the best in the UK. A pretty amazing accolade wouldn’t you say.

Buy a programme for exact timings
We’re not going to reveal exact timings for the days events, that’s what the programme is for, but here’s the running order so you can at least know whether you need to be there at lunchtime, afternoon or evening to see your favourite Island band.

Make sure you check out the Island Day bands and show your support for our amazing home grown talent.
