Vanzatti: Live and Local Review

Thursday, 6th August, 2009 at 10:29 am, Isle of Wight

Music, Review

Many thanks to Roger Regular for sending through this short review of last weeks Live and Local. Ed

Vanzatti: Reader's ReviewOn Friday last week, I took VentnorBlog’s advice and went to the last live and local gig at the Venue.

The Chancers playing that night, so I knew it would be good.

First up was Driving South who performed their set very well (missed some
of it).

Next up was a band, Vanzatti, I’d not seen but VB had good reviews of them, so, was eager to hear them.

With the band members I should have known they would be good. I and the audience were not disappointed.

There set was performed as old pros, very polished and great melodies. If you see their name coming to a gig near you, then pop along; you will not be disappointed.

Last up was the Chancers, who played at their best; my favourite has always been “temperature rising”, which they finished with.

Well done all.
