Vestas Sit-In: Saturday March and Rally

Following the unsuccessful attempt earlier in the week by Vestas management to end the occupation of their offices by the Vestas workers carrying out the sit-in, a further march and rally has been organised for Saturday afternoon.

Vestas Sit-In: Saturday March and RallyOrganisers are urging Island resident to bring their friends and family to a peaceful rally starting at St Thomas’s Square in Newport tomorrow from 1pm.

Following this a walk to the Vestas plant will take place where more speakers will address the crowds.

A rally takes place every night of the occupation outside the Vestas plant on the St Cross Industrial Estate at 6pm.

They only last for 30-60 mins, and organisers are asking Islanders to show their support by turning up and taking part.
