Benzie Robbery: Suspect Already On Bail Over Two Ram Raids
Wednesday, 15th July, 2009 at 12:21 pm, Isle of Wight
Well, well, well … what have we got ‘ere then?
We’re all, of course, aware of the robbery at Benzie yachting jewellers in Cowes and the subsequent arrest and charging of a 21-year-old man, Oliver John Mazirel.
Did you know that the same fellow was on bail over ram-raids in Sussex?
Following a ram-raid in Brighton on a computer shop on 28 May where £25k worth of MacBooks and iPods were stolen, Mazirel and a female accomplice (sound familiar?) were arrested on suspicion of the burglary.
It appears that he’s been rather busy as he was already on bail after a ram-raid in Worthing’s Montague Centre on 5 May, revealed The Argus on Sunday.
Not surprisingly this time the courts have decided to keep him in custody until his crown court hearing on the Island on October 12.
Thanks to Percy Weller for the story tip.
