Man Charged Over Benzie Robbery

A statement from the police.

A 21-year-old man has been charged in connection with a robbery at Benzie yachting jewellers on the Isle of Wight on Friday, July 3.

Oliver John Mazirel, of Ivydore Avenue, Worthing, West Sussex, was charged by detectives this evening (July 9) with robbery and possessing an imitation firearm.

He was remanded in custody to appear before Isle of Wight Magistrates Court tomorrow morning (July 10).

A woman, aged 23, of Worthing, West Sussex who was arrested at the same time was released on police bail until September pending further enquiries.
