Lucky Elephant Launch Debut Single

Monday, 6th July, 2009 at 1:40 pm, Isle of Wight

Music, Overseas

Whilst at the Isle of Wight Festival this year we were fortunate enough to meet up with those lovely fellows from Lucky Elephant after they played the Acoustic Stage.

Lucky Elephant Launch Debut SingleRegular readers will know that we’ve been raving about this band for some time now and with good cause – they’re blooming brilliant!

Today sees the launch of Lucky Elephant’s first single for download on iTunes and they’ve put two of our favourites tracks on it.

‘Edgar’ has the classic Lucky Elephant feel to it, a mixture of twinkly organ, percussion and guitar, matched with lead singer, Manu’s beautiful vocals. His French accent can initially be difficult to follow, but once you’re able to tune in, you get to hear the lyrics and follow the story of each song.

The second track on the download is another of our favourites. ‘Lucky Elephant’ is the kind of track that will have your blood pressure back on track and any worries washed away by the time you reach the end of the track. It’s so uplifting and joyful you can’t but smile when you hear it.

We’ve got a super interview with Manu and Sam from the band coming up soon on VB, so keep your eyes peeled for that.

Lucky Elephant will also be releasing their long awaited album on the Sunday Best label on the 20th July – more to come later.

Downloaded this single a few weeks ago and I can’t stop listening to it. I’ve preordered the album too! It’s like Lemon Jelly should sound. Fantastic. Nice to see some island boys doing well
