Geoffrey Hughes To Become Deputy Lord Lieutenant

The Daily Echo is reporting that Island based actor Geoffrey Hughes, who can be regularly seen at the wide range of charity events across the Island has been appointed Deputy Lord Lieutenant of the Isle of Wight.
The TV actor, known for his role as Twiggy in The Royle Family, Onslow in Keeping Up Appearances and more recently as Uncle Keith in Skins has been living in Newport with his wife since 2003.
We’re sure this keen supporter of many Island charities will do a great job during his time as Deputy Lord Lieutenant and wish him well.
