Back at the end of May we made our way to the Simeon Arms in Ryde for th first time to see a band we’ve been dying to see live for ages.

Revenge of the Lawn delivered everything they promised and more.

It was without a doubt one of the most enjoyable gigs we’d been to for a very long time and so we’re really chuffed to hear that they’ll be back in Ryde the weekend after next playing at the Ryde Regatta.

The Regatta format has changed this year with events just taking place on Saturday only and without the usual beer tent, but that hasn’t stopped there being a great lineup – full details to come shortly on VB.

Revenge of the Lawn tell us that they’ll be playing between 7-8pm on and we hope that you’ll make the journey to Ryde seafront to delight in the musical talents and cracking sense of humour of this five piece who you might remember from bands such as The Pumphouse Gang, The Waltons, Cats Like Plain Crisps and The Bebop Dustbins.

If you’re lucky, they might even some of their excellent CDs on sale too.
