Isle of Wight Council Website Offline

Island-wide, Isle of Wight Council

Isle of Wight Council Website OfflineBlimey, there must be some sweating going on in the computing department of the Isle of Wight Council – the main part of the Web site is still displaying “Site Maintenance.”

We first noticed this on Monday when looking on the site for some info.

Back then parts of the IWC planning site were also down (which was mentioned at Ventnor Town Council Plans meeting too).

Happily the planning part of the site appears to be up now.

Our thoughts go out to those working on getting the site up and going again. It must be rather stressful.

iwight.com may be under stress from the number of applicants seeking the £125,982 job. (See http://www.isleofbright.com/ )

lucky not to be a resident of southwark.

local libraries in southwark have had their public-access computers out of order for around three months – allegedly because they’ve been infected by a virus.

beats me why it takes so long to disinfect them!

The whole site this time. Are they using a cheap shared hosting account from ebay?

Don’t we just love computers :)
