Lost and Found: Seeking Ventnor Scovell FamilyWe often receive requests for help in locating distant relatives, some of them prove very successful, so we’re sure that some of you might be able to share your knowledge of the Scovell family being tracked down by another Scovell, living in Australia.

Adam Falla from Queensland in Australia contacted us last week with the following request

My next door neighbour (Graham Scovell) is looking for some information regarding his family tree.

His name is Graham Scovell and his grandfather was called William Fredrick Scovell and his wife name was Gladis.

I was wondering if you had any information regarding him?

We also have a booklet, with a guesthouse called St Clare, situated in Ventnor on Madeira Road which was owned by the Scovells.

If anyone can help, please leave a comment on this article which Adam will be monitoring.

I am helping my brother discover what happened to DANIEL/FRANK SCOVELL after the the 1911 census.
He used either name on different census’s but htey were his real names. He married Clara Ann Morris 1889 and they had 11 children, 3-4 which died. Daniel Frank was a gardener. They had associations with Whitwell, Niton, St. Lawrence and Godshill in the Isle-of-White. Has anyone this family in their Scovell line, please.

Clara and Daniel Frank had sons called Percival Henry John born 1901 and Frederick Frank born 1904.

The others born previous to them were all daughters.

Please contact me if you recognise any of these children being in your family line. Thank you
