Fast Food Vans Wanted For Gaza

Charity, Community, Overseas

Any spare ice cream vans out there? If so, perhaps you can help with this appeal from the IOW Friends of Palestine. Ed

Fish & Chip Vans Wanted For GazaFollowing the 3 week bombardment by Israel in January, Gaza is now under a blockade.

An aid convoy leaving England on 4th October hopes to break the siege.

At least two vehicles from the Isle of Wight will be joining the convoy and we’ve heard that the Gazans would particularly appreciate minibuses, refrigerated vans and fast food vans (which we shall then stuff with as many wheelchairs etc. as we can!)

Any reliable vehicle of any description will be a possibility and will be left in Gaza as part of the Isle of Wight’s gift to Gaza.

If you have any ideas, please telephone Rachel on 872997.

If you’d like me to keep you up to date with an occasional e-mail about progress, give me a ring. We need people to leave leaflets in doctor’s surgeries, advertise events like the charity auction we’ll be holding, collect sleeping bags at the Bestival and either drive or travel as a passenger to Gaza. Do as much or as little as you like. As important as the aid itself, is to let the Gazans know that they have not been entirely abandoned by the rest of the world.
