We missed this great little band both days. Darn! Looks like all those in the Kids Zone appreciated their great talent though. Ed
Kerouac, the youngest Island band to play at the Isle of Wight Festival ever, headlined at the Kids Zone on Saturday and Sunday night.
Comprising of Roly Botha (12 yrs) vocals, Jack Botha (13 yrs) drums, Martyn Stevens (14 yrs) guitar and Devon Badman (15 yrs) bass, the band rocked the place and played to a crowd of 200 dancing and cheering fans on Sunday.
In true rock and roll style they blew their PA on their first performance and were grateful for the Bees touring system thereafter.
Kerouac were the surprise hit of Strawberry Fields and by their final performance were given an extra time slot and security were allowing grown up kids into the zone to watch the finale, such was the demand.
