VentnorBlog regulars might remember a recent call for Island artists we put out on VB for artist Lauren Fry.

FUUURESHHH : Homegrown FundraiserFollowing our article, Lauren had a great response and now has seven artists committed to exhibiting with her later in the year.

‘Homegrown’ will be an exhibition showcasing new ways of seeing and fresh ideas from contemporary Island artists as part of Ryde Arts Festival 2009

As with all these things, there’s the pesky issue of funding needed for lighting, projectors etc so with that in mind, Lauren has organised a fund raiser night which she hopes will solve all the financial woes associated with the exhibition.

FUUURESHHH takes place at the The Blacksheep Club Lounge on 9th May.

FUUURESHHH is a night of big beat, electro house feel good fun raiser, kicking off at 10pm.

There’ll be a debut live battle between DJ ARKOUDA from eletro label Audio Aubergine and DJ (MMN)

a DJ set from LEEROY T MOFO

And if that wasn’t enough a brand spanking new heavy dub set from THEO BENNET.

For a sneeky peek @ the crazzzyyyyyyy mini mixes check out the Fuureshhh Myspace

Book your pumpkins for 2am and don’t forget to say where you heard about it.
