Coming up on Friday next week is the monthly meeting of the Ventnor and District History Society.

Ventnor Local District History SocietyAs usual the meeting takes place at The Masonic Hall in Grove Road, Ventnor at 7.30pm.

This month Alan Doe will be giving a talk titled “Bembridge, a trip down memory lane.”

The event is free to members of the Society or £1 for guests. Everyone welcome.

These meetings really are a great way to learn about the history of not only your local area, but the Island as whole.

    unless i’m mistaken those boys were from bembridge school.

    i had the misfortune to be a boarder there!!
