Isle of Wight Ferries: OFT Study: Giving Your Views Is Important
Friday, 27th February, 2009 at 3:02 pm, Isle of Wight
Island-wide, Overseas, Politics, Travel
As you probably know, the Office of Fair Trading (OFT) has launched their market study into the Isle of Wight Ferries.
An important part now is for the people that are affected by this – members of the public, businesses, etc – to let the OFT know of your experiences – both good and bad.
Give your views
If you have views on this, the OFT are asking for you to submit them, but you’d better get your skates on as they all need to be in by 27 March 2009.
The OFT have requested that submissions be made in a particular format which they detail in point 16 in the document covering it.
It’s worth noting that information passed to the OFT can be done on a confidential basis.

i would like to see a stealth ship deployed on the solent for ferry duties!!

I think you will find that the current ferries are pretty damn stealthy. They certainly tip-toe across the solent at the slowest possible speed.

But you can see where they are ….. http://www.ais-live.co.uk/AIS%20Live/aissolent.html

@John – That is absolutely brilliant. Must’ve taken someone a lot of effort to build the site. As an aside, the site aislive.co.uk (same site name but no hyphen) is pretty odd.
Sorry about the digression Sal.

i agree, @John – a brilliant site indeed.
kudos to whoever set it up!!

as for aislive it seems to be part of a parasitically stupid spam site based on surfers’ typing errors – what a way to earn a living(:

What a great sight to check whether it’s worth a mad dash for the ferry or not. heheheh
