Gribbles As Fuel Source In The News Again
Wednesday, 11th February, 2009 at 7:50 am, Isle of Wight
Conservation, Environment, Island-wide, Overseas
The story of the Gribble and the hope that it may hold a future in bio fuels is being further explored in the media, indeed it’s being described as “one of the most important research targets.”
You’ll remember that the Gribble was the little blighter that has eaten through the piers around the Island. Hopefully they’ll now become more useful.
Simon McQueen-Mason, Professor at the University of York, previously an Island fisherman, is the centre of the excitement.
The Engineer has an extensive article for those of you who want more details on it, focusing on the newly formed UK Sustainable Bioenergy Centre.
