Pottery Exhibitions :Turning PointThe Echium Terrace room at the Ventnor Botanic Gardens will host ‘Turning Point’, a show of contemporary Ceramic Designs by Andrew Dowden.

Those familiar with Andrew’s work will instantly recognise the significance of the title as many pieces stem from the wheel, one specific turning point, and a unique feature of Andrew’s work is the hand-turned spiral point on his lidded pots.

Hand-carved surfaces are also an Andrew Dowden trade mark and new work features ceramic wall plaques and ceramic panels.

Historical and Contemporary Isle of Wight Ceramics ExhibitionsA book illustrating some of Andrew’s working methods also entitled ‘Turning Point’ will be available at the show priced at £5.

Both exhibitions are open from 10 am to 5 pm, Saturday 28 and Sunday 29 March. Admission Free.
