Pura Vida New Year’s Eve Ball

Monday, 29th December, 2008 at 1:43 pm, Isle of Wight

Music, Ventnor

If you’re looking for somewhere to dance out the old year and cheer in the new, this could be just what you’re looking for.

Pura Vida New Year's Eve BallImagine the scene …. a heated marquee on the south coast of the Wight, DJs flown in from Los Angeles, a friendly, enthusiastic crowd dressed up to the nines in their greatest glam gear. What better way to say goodbye to 2008 and welcome in 2009.

Last year’s Pura Vida party in Flowersbrook was a huge success. A great night/early morning was had by all and it’s about to happen all over again.

The Pink Pussycat DJs will be playing their favourite 60s and 70s rare groove, soul and funk, and the glitzy duo – Poodle and The Fish will send you crazy with their classic disco and funky house til 2am.

The dress code will be ‘Glam As You Can or Ball Gowns and DJs’.

Tickets will be available Monday 22nd Dec from Kev at The Local/Dicount Booze in Ventnor for just £10.

There will be limited entrance on the door for £15 but no guarantee or reservations, so get down Ventnor off licence or call 01983 730810 for a free [ticket] delivery.

Over 21s only.

Last Years event was a disaster for nearby residents, to the extent that the site owner promissed “never again”. Loud, booming music @til 3am.

Ecessive noise (this is a residential area)or unreasonable hours will initiate restraining action

    Well done organisers
Heard a lot of comments about last years do – good and bad – so decided to give it a try and decide for myself.
Was a good night and well organised.
Loads of people enjoying themselves and no signs of trouble.
Happy New Year to you all.
