Elizabeth Kenny: Lutenist Playing Tonight

Wednesday, 26th November, 2008 at 1:45 pm, Isle of Wight

Music, Newport

The Flying Horse: Elizabeth Kenny @QuayIf jazz isn’t quite your bag, but you’re hankering after some live music tonight, why not give Quay Arts a try?

Elizabeth Kenny is one of Europe’s leading lute players and tonight’s performance will include works from composers John Dowland, Shakespeare’s lutenist Robert Johnson and the prolific anon.

The fundraiser tickets are just £5 and all proceeds will go to the Steve Ross Foundation for the Arts, the registered charity which operates Quay Arts/ Charitable Reg. No 272007.

I’d agree with you Loopy Sue. Now you mention it, she does look a bit like Hilary in profile. I love the lute so looking forward to attending if I can talk my wife into coming along too.

Are you sure you’re not a closet Hilary fan, Steve? I’m a Sarah Palin man myself.. :-)

As for poor Elizabeth K, she must be half Hilary’s age.
