No doubt this is convenient, but we constantly hear that data goes missing, presumable for cash as often as not, when it is in the hands of people whose best interests are not necessarily ours. Can we extrapolate from the Isle of Wight NHS Primary Care Trust statement that ‘national best practise and guidance’ is to ensure that we are not aware of who has access to our medical records.

No doubt this is convenient, but we constantly hear that data goes missing, presumable for cash as often as not, when it is in the hands of people whose best interests are not necessarily ours.
