Wayne Hemingway Plays Bestival: Video
Tuesday, 2nd September, 2008 at 3:51 pm, Isle of Wight
Central Wight, Festivals, Music, podcast
While we search for our galoshes, we thought we’d feed you with a little more of what’s coming at Bestival this year (beyond the listing of acts).
Wayne Hemingway, who you may know from his frequent appearances on TV, his running of fashion brand Red or Dead, or his more recent work helping the building business make their buildings more liveable, is playing at Bestival.
He has one of the largest collection of Black and soul music from the 60/70/80s, and he’s bringing a chunk of his vinyl down to the Island to spin. Catch him in the Come Dancing Tent from 11.30pm till 1am on Saturday night. Wayne tells us today that he’ll be providing a dancy soul mash up.
People who love to dance, but hate all that modern commercial chavvy stuff will have a ball
Look out next week for more videos from Wayne and Totland Councillor John Howe on the plans for Totland Rec.
