Unidentifiable Paw Prints on Ventnor Downs

Friend of VB and one of our Flickr Group and forum members, Good Fairy was out walking on the Ventnor downs a few months ago with her dogs.

Being a photographer and having a keen eye, she spotted something quite unusual in the ground.

It’s quite difficult to identify from the picture, but here is her description:

Hi everyone, have taken some photos of a big print up on the downs, have posted one one the vb photo pool … I have 2 BIG dogs, and it seemed much bigger than there paw prints.

The time was about 6pm in the evening, about 3 1/2 months ago. I remember being freezing and wanting to get off home, and it seems remarkable that I was able to spot it.

Have you seen something similar? Any clues as to what it might be?

    hi bernard, if you click on the more photos in the ventnorblog link………….under the readers photos, you’ll find it to our right of this box, is the flikrpool. scroll down and enter the pool, you can enlarge it. if you want i can email you the 3 photos to have a closer look at.     I’ve seen these in Africa. Almost certainly a leopard print. Apparently they are living indigenously in Wales. Or it could be a Yetty. Or David Icke who has been living in Ryde, but could be roaming the moors.
