Island Mobility Scooter Gets Parking Ticket In Birmingham!An 89 year old and his mobility scooter has hit the headlines in at least one of the Nationals.

Arnold Saunders has received a parking ticket for his mobility scooter … from Birmingham.

The Mail is reporting that Arnold has only visited Birmingham 20 years ago, to buy a pair of shoes.

They point out that as well as needing travel for nearly 30 hours on the ferry and three motorways, all at the mind blowing top speed of 6 MPH, Arnold would also have needed to have stopped eight times to recharge.

The cloning of number plates is not unusual, but normally those doing the cloning have the intelligence of matching up the vehicles.

Birmingham city council say that the tickets issued two weeks ago to a car, has now been cancelled.
