Ventnor Business Association: First Meeting A Success
Friday, 27th June, 2008 at 4:34 pm, Isle of Wight
Ventnor Business Association were very pleased with the attendance at their first general meeting.
Chairman Harry Rees is now looking into the proposed Whitwell Road closure which will come into affect when Ventnor Carnival is on.
This would prove problematic for the town, as access would be limited.
The VBA believes that a well balanced mixture of businesses is crucial to the survival of the town and to this end have acquired a copy of the Unitary Development Plan.
The VBA will update the UDP to show the current business ratio and how well this corresponds to the published plan.
Other matters arising concerned encouraging coaches to the town and parking in general.
And on a lighter note could the VBA please remind all of those with hanging baskets if they could please be watered regularly!
If you would like further information about the VBA please contact Harry Rees on 856160 or Linda Chester on 856000.
