Bestival: Island Band and DJ Competition Finalists

Congratulations to the five bands and three DJs who have made it through to the Bestival Bands Competition.

Jordan PeakAfter winning the votes of the public, next week playing in front of an esteemed panel of judges will be the Guy Page Trio, The Shanklin Freakshow (finalists in the IW Festival BOTB Comp), Magic Octagon (who recently won the IW Festival BOTB Comp, The Steam Machine and The Kurves.

Spinning the vinyl to win over the judges will be Jordan Peak (pictured), Mistubishop and Duvstar and DJ Steel.

The band who wins the heart of the judges will open the Bestival on Friday 5th September on the main stage and the DJ will do their magic in one of the DJ tents to a crowd of willing recipients at some point over the weekend.

The live battle commences next Wednesday evening at Ryde Theatre from 7pm and it won’t cost you a penny to get in.

  1. Hey well done all!!!….. just like to say check out The Steam Machine.. you won’t have heard of them yet but its cos they’ve only just formed… take it from me THEY ARE GOOD!!! Hope you can all make it for the auditions its gonna be a great night of ORIGINAL music!!!
