Lifeguards Back On Ventnor Beach
Monday, 2nd June, 2008 at 10:46 am, Isle of Wight
Ventnor’s intrepid lifeguards are back on the beach, overseeing the safety of those using the beach and the sea.
They’ve been packed up over the Winter period. While the beach continues to be used, indeed many dog walkers take the opportunity to walk there while they’re allowed, there’s not a lot of people using the sea, except for Boxing day of course.
There are high hopes that Ventnor’s beach will this year gain Blue Flag status, which the lifeguards are a vital part of. We’ll let you know the result as soon as we hear.

what species are the lifeguards?
as a kate and gin fan, if i were drowning the only help i’d be willing to receive would be from a member of the canine community.
