Rock ‘n’ Roll Revolution: Ticket CompetitionAs you heard earlier today, the Rock ‘n’ Roll Revolution is coming to Ventnor this weekend. The show features The TTs (see below) and The Shakers.

Music Promoter and the man behind the event, Peter Stockton has been in touch and kindly offered two tickets for Saturday’s gig to VentnorBlog readers. We know that there are many of you out there who appreciate music from this era, so are sure you’ll jump at the chance of a free night out.

All you have to do is answer two simple questions:

Q1. Name the first hit by The Shadows
Q2. What was the name of Billy J. Kramer’s backing group?

Even if you haven’t a clue what the answers are, it’s not hard to find out.

Send your answers to ventnorblog(at)gmail.com (replacing the (at) with @) by 9am Friday morning. Please put Rock ‘n’ Roll Revolution: Ticket Competition in the subject line and make sure you leave contact details including which part of the Wight you’re in.

The first one out of the hat (with the correct answers, natch) wins a pair of tickets to see the show at the Ventnor Winter Gardens this Saturday night.

If you need more convincing about how good the show is going to be on Saturday night, check out this great old video footage of The TTs (performing with Earl Preston) that we found on YouTube. Ah the power of the Internet!

If you’re unlucky in the comp, or don’t want to risk missing out, don’t worry, because you can still buy tickets from the box office for only £10 in advance, or, £12 on door. Call the Winter Gardens box office number on 857581 now! Also available from Waterstones, Newport and Record Mania, Ryde.or on the night
