Aneesa Chaudhry is back on the fringe today following her excellent performance yesterday evening at the Mill Bay Inn.

Aneesa ChaudhryWe caught her last night and thought she was a fantastic performer.

Her eclectic take on jazz managed to clear the front row at one point, but don’t let that put you off – the rest of the room thought she was fabulous.

She trained as a barrister, but the pull of music and the creative influences of her parents led her to give up with wig and replace it with sexy frocks and heels.

She performs with ease and a great sense of humour – her voice is incredible and well worth checking out later today.

It’s part of Mick Smith free fringe events, so you won’t even need to pay to get in.

I saw Aneesa too. What a zest of energy. Her range of music was not only jazz but the eastern songs are what took my breath away. She certainly brought something to the festival that I haven’t seen before and pulled it off brilliantly with her percussionist, drummer and pianist. Fabulous!

I saw Aneesa Chaudhry at this year’s Isle of White Jazz Festival and was astounded by her presence and remarkable voice. Her performance moved me so much I went back on Sunday for more. I will be following her progress and am sure that she is going to be big!

She was definately the Diva of this year’s festival for me! I hope she is back on the Island soon!

I caught the last one of Aneesas songs from her first set I was impressed at her stage charisma and vocal range so much I came back and watched the entire second set and I’m very thankful I did. Aneesas talent is second to none she intricately merges Jazz rhythmic themes with Asian melodies, with dramatic effect and sings with such passion and joy that you can almost see it flowing over her audience in waves and she works her craft. I expect big things from her in the future.
