The Public Has Voted: In Favour of Jazz Festival SupportThanks to everyone who has voted or expressed a view about whether we should publicly support the forthcoming Jazz Festival.

As it stands at the moment, more of you would like to see us support the festival than not.

We agree with many of you who have commented that the festival is a good thing for Ventnor and the Island.

Our concerns have been with regard to the business practice employed by the organisers, which is why we made the gesture of asking what our valued readers thought.

We plan to put several pieces out about the festival over the coming week and during the festival itself, if we have time, however, we will keep the voting open and if the
majority swings the other way, we’ll follow the lead of our readers.
