Ten Hour Swim To Safety For Fisherman
Thursday, 28th February, 2008 at 12:44 pm, Isle of Wight
We all know that the role of fisherman is one of the most dangerous jobs in the world.
There’s news breaking that a fisherman in Australia, Michael Williams, has swam for more than ten hours to safety.
He was found on a beach, not surprisingly exhausted after he’d spent more than 30 hours at sea.
He’d previously been with the skipper, but the two got separated in the darkness.
You can’t imagine the frustration in this – the rescue helicopter had flown over the pair but not seen them.
