Annual Hedgelaying Competition: The ResultsThanks to Matthew Chatfield for sending through results from the Annual Hedgelaying Competition that took place last Saturday.

According to the Isle of Wight Hedgerow Group website, this was the largest competition so far.

Being ensconced at the Bonchurch Manor Hotel for VentnorBlog Presents … exhibition for the day we were unable to attend and for any others who didn’t hang around for the prize giving, here’s how everyone faired.

    There was a result all right. The result was that on account of the temporary traffic lights put up to keep the traffic away from the hedge weavers I took an extra ten minutes in the car getting to Newport.
    This may not sound like much to you, but the stab’n'steer princess (self proclaimed) was driving and I had a bit of a sore head following on from a graphics art exhibition in Bonchurch the night before!
