Bestival 2008: Gary Numan

Friday, 22nd February, 2008 at 12:01 am, Isle of Wight

Bestival, Festivals, Music

Bestival 2008: Gary NumanSet your soaring-synths to stun. One of the pioneers of UK electronic music will be beaming down to Bestival.

King of the white face paint, Gary Newman will be rocking the crowd.

Expect Numaoids a plenty.

Re-live those Whistle Test days

If the flashback doesn’t mean anything to you, feast your ears and eyes on a Ukulele and Synth version Are Friends Electric? (How Bestival is that?)

We could leave you without a blast of cars …

One little ditty that you might not know about him … he married a member of his own fan club … or so Wikipedia says.

Gary Numan ROCKS….he;ll blow yer head off at Bestival. Don’t for one minute think he will be doing pop-synth ditties, he’ll surprise you!
He is a musical genius and if you’ve never seen him before or its been years since you saw him, get yourself next to the stage he’s playing on and be prepared to head bang!

I have everything he ever did, and am blown away that he is at the bestie this year. His older stuff is brilliant, but his new stuff rocks, Jagged is a fabulous album, and if he is covering tracks from that, you wont be dissapointed.
