No To School Discussions On Council Forum: UPDATED
Tuesday, 15th January, 2008 at 3:23 pm, Isle of Wight
Education, Island-wide, School Reform
Given the significance of the proposal to shake up the Island’s education system, published yesterday, we find it amazing that the residents of the Island aren’t being allowed to comment on the Council’s own discussion forum about it.

To quote the site
Please note, as with previous large consultations we will not be posting messages on the forum in relation to the proposed changes to Schools on the Island.
This is to ensure that all comments are heard and included in the consultation process.

This is somewhat at contrast to the introduction to the Forum from Joe Duckworth, Council Chief Exec, directly below it
We hope you will use the forum to exchange views and promote constructive debate on issues both affecting and of interest to people living on, and visiting the Isle of Wight.
It’s understandable that the council wants as much input into the consultations, but why ban talk of it on their own Forum as well?
