If you have been up to Quay Arts in the last week or so, and popped up to the Learning Curve you may have witnessed Ventnor artist, Teresa Grimaldi busy at work.

Circle Line: Ian HelliwellTeresa along with Irene Coates are artists in residency at the moment and creating a fantastic space exploring creativity. There will be a talk and a workshop to accompany the residency (more to follow later), but for any celluloid lovers, as part of the exhibition Teresa has also organised a visit from International film artist Ian Helliwell.

Next Monday, Ian will present an evening of experimental artists films using 16mm and digital formats at Quay Arts from 8pm as part of of the residency. He will be exploring shapes, namely circles and lines.

Having taken a look at some of his work and had the pleasure of meeting Teresa last week, we reckon this is one not to miss.

This is a quirky and interesting exhibition that’s well worth going along to and engaging with the artist.
