Camp Bestival: Some Inside News

Here’s a little sneaky peeky for those of you planning or indeed considering going to Camp Bestival.

We’ve heard that preparations are going well and just because you’re all so lovely, we’ve got an intriguing detail about the arrangements that we can let you in on …

The layout of the site is getting firmed up … and guess what? Rather than filling the whole of the perimeter, they’re planning to leave one of the sections – by the sea – to have no stalls or stages at all.

The thinking behind this is to reveal the natural beauty of the sea and horizon beyond. Just imagine kicking back with your favourite beverage and looking into the wide blue yonder.

The photo at the top of this piece will give you some idea of what the coastline along that area is like – pretty stunning, eh?

Given the Island roots of Camp Bestival, we wonder if this is being done to make Islanders feel a home, even though they’ll be abroad!
